The core panel. One draw, over ninety markers, and the foundation every other decision in your protocol reads from.
What we measure, and the target we work to
Reference ranges describe the population that walks into laboratories. These are the targets we actually work to.
| Marker | What it tells us | Our working target |
|---|---|---|
| ApoB | Number of atherogenic particles | < 80 mg/dL |
| Lp(a) | Inherited cardiovascular risk | < 75 nmol/L |
| Fasting insulin | Earliest sign of metabolic drift | < 6 µIU/mL |
| HOMA-IR | Insulin resistance index | < 1.5 |
| HbA1c | Three-month glucose average | < 5.4 % |
| hs-CRP | Chronic low-grade inflammation | < 1.0 mg/L |
| Homocysteine | Vascular and methylation status | < 9 µmol/L |
| Vitamin D | Immune and skeletal function | 40–60 ng/mL |
| Omega-3 index | Membrane fatty acid status | > 8 % |
| Ferritin | Iron stores and inflammation | 50–150 ng/mL |
Why targets, not ranges. A fasting insulin of 12 µIU/mL is reported as normal by most laboratories. It is also a reliable predictor that you will be told you have prediabetes within a decade. We would rather act on it now.

How it is performed
A single venous draw of roughly 30 ml, taken in the morning. Standard markers report within 48 hours; specialist assays take a few days longer.
How to prepare
Fast for ten to twelve hours, water only. Keep taking prescribed medication unless told otherwise. Avoid hard training and alcohol for 24 hours beforehand — both temporarily distort inflammatory and liver markers.
How we read it
Together, never one at a time. A borderline lipid result means something different alongside high hs-CRP than it does alongside a clean inflammatory picture. From your second panel onwards, the trend matters more than any single value.
Questions
What is biological age, exactly?
An estimate of the rate at which your cells are ageing, calculated from DNA methylation patterns. We read it as a trend across repeated tests, never as a single verdict.
Are the results mine to keep?
Yes. Your full data set is yours and can be shared with your own physician at any time.
