Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM)

Fourteen days of real metabolic behaviour, against your actual meals.

A fasting glucose describes one moment. A sensor describes two weeks of real life — including the meals, stress and short nights that a laboratory never sees.

What it covers

  • Continuous glucose readings across fourteen days
  • Post-meal excursions mapped to what you actually ate
  • Overnight patterns, including nocturnal lows
  • Glucose variability and time in range
  • The effect of training sessions on your control

How it is performed

A small sensor is fitted to the back of the upper arm in clinic and worn for fourteen days. It is waterproof and painless; you log meals in an app.

How to prepare

Nothing to prepare, and please do not “eat well” for the sensor. Eat exactly as you normally would — an idealised fortnight tells us nothing useful.

How we read it

For patterns, not single spikes. Two people with identical HbA1c can have completely different variability, and variability is what we can coach against.
